Last week we learned how difficult repairs were in the early aviation days, and we saw my Aunt Jeanne hired as one of Pan Am’s first female flight attendants.  Today we’ll hear a rendition of the adventures of one of my Dad’s good friends, Johnny Wilmott.  Then we’ll hear a bit more of Dad’s Navy experiences.

TALKING TO THE WORLD FROM PAN AM'S CLIPPERS

Last week we saw how difficult North Atlantic crossings were which sometimes resulted in deadly crashes.  But Dad also shared his joy at the birth of my brother, Ken.  Today we’ll see how Dad and other Pan Am Crews joined the Navy, and then he shares, and then apologizes for, a chauvinist “girl watching” ritual.  Enjoy!
